Police Say Wilmington Drug Stakeout Snared Chester Suspect

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police Department said officers arrested a Chester man Wednesday following a drug investigation in the city.

According to investigators, members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were conducting an investigation into alleged drug activity in the 300 block of West 7th Street at about 10:12 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Police said officers allegedly observed Nasir Bush, 23, of Chester, Pennsylvania, engaged in drug activity and took him into custody without incident.

Investigators said officers allegedly recovered 12.6 grams of crack cocaine and 1.59 grams of heroin.

Bush was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in Tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance in Tier 2 quantity, and possession of a controlled substance in Tier 1 quantity.

According to police, Bush was arraigned in New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $9,000 cash-only bail.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
