Police Say Stolen Car Probe Exposed Fraud Trail

TRAINER, PA — Trainer Borough Police Department said a Chester man is wanted on multiple charges following an investigation into the alleged unauthorized use of a vehicle and related fraud offenses in Delaware County.

According to investigators, officers began the investigation on Wednesday, April 29, after a vehicle was reportedly taken from the 3400 block of West 4th Street during the overnight hours of April 28 into April 29.

Police identified the suspect as Jamain Calbert Williams Jr., 24, of Chester.

Investigators alleged Williams took the vehicle without the owner’s permission and later operated it at multiple locations throughout Delaware County.

According to police, officers recovered items inside the vehicle allegedly belonging to Williams and obtained surveillance footage from several businesses that allegedly showed him operating the vehicle.

Investigators also alleged surveillance footage captured Williams using the victim’s Visa credit card without authorization.

Williams is charged with access device fraud, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.

Police said an arrest warrant was issued Thursday, April 30, by Magisterial District Court 32-1-22 under docket number MJ-32122-CR-0000079-2026.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
