Police Probe Late-Night Gunfire on Washington Street Extension

WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident reported late Thursday night in Wilmington.

According to police, troopers responded around 11:40 p.m. Thursday, April 16, to the 4800 block of Washington Street Extension for reports of gunfire.

When troopers arrived, investigators said they located several spent shell casings in the area. Police reported that no injuries or property damage were identified.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate, authorities said.
