Police Hunt Suspect After Brazen Daylight Assault

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused in an indecent assault reported Wednesday afternoon in the city’s Kensington section.

According to investigators, the incident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026, on the 2600 block of Collins Street.

Police said the complainant reported she was walking when an unidentified man allegedly approached her from behind, aggressively grabbed her, and fled the area on foot.

Investigators said the suspect was last seen traveling southbound toward Huntingdon Street.

According to police, the suspect is described as a Black man between 30 and 40 years old with a medium build. Investigators said he was wearing all-black clothing, including a black coat with a fur-lined hood, and carrying a crossbody bag at the time of the incident.

Authorities warned residents not to approach the suspect and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
