HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday’s office is seeking more than $220,000 in monetary relief from a Philadelphia-based towing group accused of violating a 2022 court order by continuing allegedly improper towing and fee practices.
The Office of Attorney General filed a contempt petition against Angelina’s Towing and Recovery LLC, Siani’s Towing and Recovery LLC, Aubry’s Towing and Recovery LLC and Michael Caban Jr., alleging violations of a settlement and court order stemming from a lawsuit filed in 2020.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, the earlier case involved allegations that the companies towed vehicles from inadequately marked areas and charged excessive fees and costs. That litigation resulted in a settlement and court order in 2022.
The Attorney General’s Office alleges a subsequent investigation found that the defendants continued towing vehicles without proper signage or authorization. The petition also alleges consumers were required to pay towing or storage charges in cash or through Cash App, while customers using credit cards were assessed additional fees.
Investigators further allege the defendants charged excessive or unlawful towing and storage fees in violation of Pennsylvania’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law and Philadelphia’s towing law.
“The terms of this settlement were very clear, yet these companies continue to improperly tow consumers’ vehicles, and charge exorbitant fees,” Sunday stated.
The contempt petition seeks more than $220,000 in monetary relief, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
