Motel Clash Turns Shocking as Woman Allegedly Maces Victim in Newark!

NEWARK, DEDelaware State Police have arrested 43-year-old Larace Neal of New Castle in connection with an alleged assault incident at a Motel 6 in Newark. The arrest follows an altercation that occurred on Monday night.

On June 9, 2025, at approximately 10:36 p.m., troopers responded to the Motel 6 located at 100 McIntosh Plaza after receiving a report of a fight. Investigators determined that an unidentified female suspect had approached the victim outside her motel room, initiating a verbal argument. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly maced the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.

Emergency responders treated the victim at the scene for injuries sustained from the chemical spray. A subsequent investigation identified Neal as the suspect involved in the incident.

Troopers located Neal on June 10, 2025, near the Motel 6 and arrested her without incident. Authorities also discovered that Neal had an outstanding warrant and multiple capiases.

Neal was transported to Troop 2, where she was charged with second-degree assault, a felony. She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $4,000 secured bond.

All charges remain allegations, and Neal is presumed innocent until she is proven guilty in a court of law. Further details about the incident were not immediately available.
