KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police are seeking a Chester County man who failed to appear for a preliminary hearing on charges stemming from an April traffic stop in Kennett Square.
According to the Kennett Square Police Department, an arrest warrant was issued June 24 by District Court 15-3-04 for Jhorman Ortega-Tarazona, 27, of Avondale after he allegedly failed to appear in court.
The underlying case began at about 6:38 p.m. on April 10, when officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Garfield Street after observing a vehicle that allegedly lacked emissions and inspection stickers.
During the investigation, police said Ortega-Tarazona allegedly provided officers with false identification information.

Police further reported that authorities discovered Ortega-Tarazona had an active arrest warrant from Oakland County, Michigan.
Ortega-Tarazona is charged with false identification to law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle without valid inspection, stop signs and yield signs violations, driving without a license and violations related to Pennsylvania’s emissions inspection program.
