WILMINGTON, DE — A man is facing multiple felony charges after a late-night shooting in Wilmington left another man hospitalized, police said.
According to Wilmington Police, officers responded to the 1900 block of West Fourth Street at about 11:48 p.m. Monday for a report of a shooting.
Police located a 33-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to a hospital in stable condition.
During the investigation, officers located a suspect, identified as Jonathan Colon, 30, and took him into custody without incident, according to police. Investigators said officers also recovered a loaded .380-caliber handgun.
Colon has been charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
Court records show Colon was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $130,000 cash-only bail.
