Knife Allegation Prompts Warrant in Kennett Square Case

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police are seeking a Kennett Square man after obtaining an arrest warrant in connection with an alleged domestic incident involving a knife earlier this month.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Center Street at approximately 12:47 p.m. on June 5 for a report of an active domestic incident involving a knife.

While officers were responding, police said they were advised that the suspect had left the area in a black Cadillac.

According to investigators, the reporting party told police they observed the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Christian Vega-Zavala, approach the victim and allegedly brandish a knife in a threatening manner. Police reported that no physical contact occurred during the incident.

Investigators said positive identification of the suspect and the vehicle, along with written statements from the involved parties, led to the filing of a criminal complaint in Magisterial District Court 15-3-04.

An arrest warrant for Vega-Zavala was issued on June 12.

Vega-Zavala is charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, harassment, and driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked.
