Kennett Square Altercation Leads to Assault Charge

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — An 18-year-old Kennett Square man faces assault and harassment charges after police allege he struck another man during a late-night altercation Friday.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 11:21 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 400 block of Magnolia Street.

Police allege Wynn Markowitz, 18, struck a male during the altercation. Authorities did not provide additional information about what allegedly led to the confrontation or whether any injuries were reported.

Markowitz was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment, according to police.

Police reported that the charges were filed in District Court 15-3-04. The case is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
