Gunpoint Robbery Outside Business Leaves Victim Shaken

NEW CASTLE, DE — Police are investigating an early morning robbery in which two suspects allegedly confronted a victim outside a business and stole cash.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded at approximately 2:30 a.m. April 22 to the 3800 block of North Dupont Highway for a reported robbery.

Investigators said the victim had exited a business and was walking to a vehicle when two masked men approached. Police reported that one suspect was allegedly armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s personal property.

Authorities said the armed suspect allegedly searched the victim’s pockets before both individuals fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police reported the victim was not injured during the incident.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
