Gunfire Erupts Near South Philly Subway Station Late at Night

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are seeking the public’s help identifying multiple suspects connected to a shooting incident near a South Philadelphia subway station last month.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, surveillance video captured the suspects walking east on Oregon Avenue around 12:25 a.m. on April 1 before turning onto the 2600 block of South 9th Street.

Investigators said the suspects were later seen running west through the 900 block of Oregon Avenue while allegedly firing gunshots back toward 9th Street.

Police also reported the individuals were observed lingering near the Broad Street and Oregon Avenue subway station before the shooting.

Authorities did not release information about injuries, property damage, or arrests connected to the incident.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
