Flag Snatched in Broad Daylight, Smashed and Dumped

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect accused of taking and damaging an Israeli flag in the borough’s business district.

According to Kennett Square police, the incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on April 25 while officers were on patrol.

Police reported that officers were flagged down by a reporting person who said a male suspect had allegedly approached, grabbed an Israeli flag, and fled south on South Union Street.

According to investigators, the suspect then allegedly broke the flag’s post and discarded it in a trash receptacle.

Authorities said the suspect has not yet been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
