E-Bike Escape Attempt Adds to Trouble in Boscov’s Theft Case

POTTSTOWN, PA — North Coventry police reported arresting a 58-year-old Pottstown man after an alleged retail theft at Boscov’s escalated into an attempted escape on an e-bike.

Police reported that officers were dispatched to Boscov’s at 351 W. Schuylkill Road at approximately 12:03 p.m. Aug. 30 for an alleged retail theft in progress.

Upon arrival, officers apprehended David Page, 58, of Pottstown, according to police. Investigators allege Page attempted to flee from officers and avoid apprehension on an e-bike.

Police charged Page with one count each of retail theft and receiving stolen property, both third-degree felonies, and one count of fleeing and eluding, a third-degree misdemeanor.

Page was transported to Chester County Correctional Facility for arraignment, according to police.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
