WILMINGTON, DE — Two 29-year-olds face multiple drug charges after Wilmington police reported observing suspected drug activity involving a vehicle Sunday afternoon in the 600 block of North West Street.
According to Wilmington police, members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were in the area at approximately 3:14 p.m. Aug. 24 when officers allegedly observed two people engaged in drug-related activity from their vehicle.
Police identified the two as Anthony Wilson, 29, and Christine Patterson, 29. Officers contacted Wilson and Patterson and took both into custody without incident, according to police.
During the investigation, officers allegedly recovered a total of 2.6 grams of crack cocaine, 0.96 grams of heroin, 12.5 grams of marijuana and drug-packaging material, police reported.
Wilson was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to police, he was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $32,200 cash-only bail.
Patterson was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police reported that she was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $15,700 secured bail.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
