PARKESBURG, PA — A Chester County woman is facing criminal charges following an investigation into allegations that she hindered a police investigation, say authorities.
According to the Parkesburg Borough Police Department, charges were filed against Sonya Stewart, 50, on June 23 following an investigation that began on June 12.
Police said Stewart has been charged with hindering apprehension, obstruction and related offenses. Authorities did not release additional details regarding the circumstances that led to the charges.
A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled to be held before District Court 15-3-07, according to police.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
