Can You Identify Man Sought in Deadly Logan Robbery?

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old man during a robbery in the city’s Logan neighborhood.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit, 32-year-old Shawn Caddell, of Philadelphia, was shot at approximately 10:03 a.m. on July 6 inside a business in the 4900 block of North Broad Street.

Police said responding officers found Caddell suffering from gunshot wounds inside the business. He was transported by Philadelphia Fire Department medics to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:26 a.m.

Investigators reported that the shooting occurred during the course of a robbery. The Homicide Unit has released surveillance images of a man detectives are seeking to identify in connection with the investigation.

Police are urging anyone who recognizes the individual depicted in the surveillance images or who has information about the shooting to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334. Anonymous tips may also be submitted by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477).

The investigation remains active. Police said no arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered.
