WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating after a person was allegedly robbed at gunpoint outside a Wilmington-area movie theater last week.
Troopers responded at approximately 11:30 p.m. Aug. 7 to Regal Brandywine Town Center at 3300 Brandywine Parkway for a reported armed robbery, according to state police.
Investigators allege the suspect approached the victim and demanded cash while displaying a handgun. When the victim initially refused, the suspect allegedly forcibly took the victim’s money and fled the area, police reported.
The victim was not injured during the alleged robbery, according to state police.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is handling the investigation. Police have released an image of the suspect in an effort to identify the individual.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
