Animal Cruelty Charges Filed in Highland Township

PARKESBURG, PA — A Chester County man is facing animal cruelty and trespassing charges following an incident in Highland Township, police said.

According to the Parkesburg Borough Police Department, Lewis F. Brown, 38, was arrested July 2 in connection with the incident.

Police said Brown has been charged with cruelty to animals, trespassing and related offenses. Authorities did not release additional details about the allegations or identify any animals involved.

Court records show Brown was arraigned before District Court 15-3-07, where bail was set at $5,000 unsecured. He was released pending a preliminary hearing, which is scheduled to be held in the same court.
