HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A man is facing burglary and theft charges after Lower Moreland Township police linked him to the theft of approximately 150 new vehicle tires from a storage facility.
According to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department, the theft occurred June 7 at a storage facility on Red Lion Road. Police reported that the victim discovered the storage unit had been broken into and approximately 150 brand-new vehicle tires had been stolen.
Investigators estimated the loss at more than $40,000.
Police said the investigation led detectives to identify 47-year-old Ruslan Sardalov as the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued, and Sardalov turned himself in to authorities on July 2, according to investigators.
Sardalov has been charged with burglary involving a building not adapted for overnight accommodations, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, defiant trespass, and simple criminal trespass, police reported.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
