WILMINGTON, DE — A 31-year-old Wilmington woman has been charged in connection with the reported theft of thousands of dollars in mail packages from a local business, according to police.
New Castle County police reported that officers were dispatched at approximately 4:00 p.m. on April 10 to the 3600 block of Old Capitol Trail after receiving a report that multiple packages, valued at about $3,700, had been stolen.
According to investigators, officers reviewed evidence during the investigation and identified a Hyundai Elantra as a possible suspect vehicle.
Police said continued investigative efforts led to the identification of Briana Hubbard, 31, of Wilmington, as a suspect.
Authorities reported that Hubbard was located at her residence on April 26, taken into custody, and transported to police headquarters.
According to police, Hubbard was charged with receiving stolen property over $1,500 and second-degree conspiracy.
Police reported that she was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $4,000 unsecured bail.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
