OXFORD, PAState Senator Carolyn Comitta is inviting parents, grandparents, and expectant families to attend a free Community Baby Shower on Friday, October 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Oxford Presbyterian Church.

The event, hosted in partnership with the Maternal and Child Health Consortium (MCHC) and the Maternity Care Coalition, will connect families with more than 20 community organizations offering local resources and services for parents and young children.

“Becoming a parent is one of the most rewarding experiences in life, but raising children isn’t without its challenges,” Comitta said. “Whether you’re expecting, planning, or already raising a family, I encourage you to stop by to learn about the many resources available here in Chester County.”

“At MCHC, we believe every family deserves to feel supported and celebrated as they welcome a new baby,” said Milena Lanz, Executive Director of the Maternal and Child Health Consortium. “This event brings people together, connects parents with resources, and shows families they’re not alone.”

Samia Bristow, Vice President of Programs at the Maternity Care Coalition, added, “Baby showers are a celebration. It’s an opportunity to shower families with joy, uplift them with support, and wrap them in love as they prepare for parenthood.”
