Wilmington Police Arrest Two Men on Assault Allegations Following November Incident

Arrest

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police have apprehended two men suspected of assault. The incident allegedly occurred in late November, casting a shadow over the typically peaceful Delaware Avenue area.

On November 22, around 11 p.m., officers were called to the scene. The victim, who wishes to remain unidentified, alleged they had been assaulted by two individuals. The ensuing investigation led authorities to suspect Adam Digiacomo, 25, and Nelson Cotto-Hill, 26, both residents of the city.

The arrest warrants for both men were executed on January 4. The law enforcement operation was carried out smoothly, with both suspects taken into custody without any reported incidents.

Digiacomo is facing a second-degree assault charge and has been released on $5,000 unsecured bail following arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas.

Meanwhile, Cotto-Hill is charged with strangulation. After his arraignment in the same court, he was released upon posting a $2,500 secured bail.

It’s important to note that these charges are allegations at this stage. Both men, like all defendants in the American legal system, are presumed innocent until, and if, proven guilty in a court of law.
