Will U.S. 422 Roadwork Impact Your Commute This Week?

Traffic Alert

LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that significant roadway reconstruction will take place on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove Township as part of an $83.6 million infrastructure improvement project.

The project will necessitate a lane closure on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) interchanges. The work is scheduled from Wednesday, June 25, to Friday, June 27, with closures in effect daily from 12:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning. Drivers should anticipate delays and are advised to allow extra travel time when navigating the area. All scheduled work is weather dependent.

This comprehensive effort will involve the reconstruction of approximately 2.1 miles of roadway and the replacement of key bridges along the highway. PennDOT aims to enhance safety, improve travel conditions, and modernize this critical transportation corridor for Montgomery County’s residents and commuters.

Motorists traveling through the work zone are encouraged to remain alert and exercise caution to ensure their safety and the safety of road crews during the project.
