Which Chester County Road Is Shutting Down for Weeks of Watermain Construction?

WEST BRADFORD TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania announced that water main construction will close Marshallton Thorndale Road in West Bradford Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, September 29.

From September 29 through October 31, the road will be closed weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Route 162 (Strasburg Road) and Shadyside Road. Passenger vehicles will be detoured via Route 162, Sugars Bridge Road, U.S. 322, and Shadyside Road, while trucks will follow a longer route using Route 162, Buck Run Road, Youngsburg Road, Route 82, and U.S. 30. Local access will be maintained throughout the project.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time, as congestion is likely. Work schedules remain weather dependent.
