MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A round-the-clock closure of Township Line Road is scheduled to begin Monday, April 27, as PennDOT advances a major roadway reconstruction project in East Norriton and Whitpain townships.
At a Glance
- Roads Affected: Township Line Road
- Dates: Monday, April 27 (6:00 AM) through Tuesday, May 5 (6:00 AM)
- Times: 24/7 closure
- Reason: Roadway reconstruction
Township Line Road will be closed between Swede Road and U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) for the duration of the work. Local and emergency access will be maintained on the eastbound side, but through traffic will be fully detoured.
Drivers will be directed to use Swede Road, Germantown Pike, and U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) to navigate around the closure. Expect heavy delays and slowdowns along the detour route as traffic is redirected.
Motorists should plan extra time or seek alternate routes, especially during peak travel periods, as congestion is expected to build throughout the closure.
The work includes full-depth pavement reconstruction at the Dekalb Pike intersection and along key segments of Township Line Road as part of a broader $55 million improvement project.
