MIDDLETOWN TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania has announced significant water main construction that will result in the closure of Parkmount Road/Lungren Road in Middletown Township, Delaware County. The project is set to begin Monday, April 21, and continue through Friday, October 31, with work scheduled weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
During this time, the road will be closed between Lenni Road and Route 452 (Pennell Road). Detours will direct motorists to use Lenni Road, Birney Highway/Aston Mills Road, Concord Road, and Route 452. Local access will be maintained, but delays and backups are anticipated near the work zone.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and exercise caution. Aqua Pennsylvania is completing the project with authorization under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. Work schedules remain weather-dependent.
