DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania will initiate water main construction on Wallingford Road/Plush Mill Road in Springfield and Nether Providence townships, Delaware County, starting Monday, September 30. This project will affect traffic flow until January 24, 2025. The road will be closed on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, between Baltimore Pike and Rogers Lane.
During this period, motorists are advised to follow detours via Baltimore Pike, Turner Road, and Plush Mill Road. Despite the closure, local access up to the work zone will be maintained. Drivers should plan for additional travel time due to expected delays and backups. All construction activities are weather dependent.
This project is part of Aqua Pennsylvania’s efforts to enhance local water infrastructure and will be conducted under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
