PHILADELPHIA, PA — vybe urgent care has acquired Liberty Urgent Care’s locations in Horsham and Hatfield, expanding its regional network to 18 centers and strengthening its occupational medicine services as the company positions itself for additional growth.
The acquisition increases vybe’s presence in Montgomery County and follows a growth-focused refinancing with Live Oak Bank that the company said will fund future acquisitions and new center development.
The Horsham location at 401 Horsham Road, which opened in 2016, and the Hatfield location at 500 Forty Foot Road, which opened in 2021, will be rebranded as vybe urgent care centers.
As part of the transaction, Liberty Urgent Care founder and President Dr. Erik Soiferman will join vybe as vice president of occupational medicine services, overseeing the expansion of the company’s workers’ compensation and employer health offerings.
“I’m eager to expand our occupational medicine and workers’ compensation treatment capabilities throughout the region,” Soiferman said. “The existing network of 16 vybe centers will allow us to better serve businesses and local government authorities and help them maintain healthy and productive workplaces.”
Peter Hotz, vybe’s president and chief executive officer, said the financing from Live Oak Bank supports the company’s expansion strategy and noted that adding Soiferman will strengthen services for employers.
vybe said patients at the Horsham and Hatfield centers will continue receiving urgent care services after the locations are integrated into its network.
The company offers walk-in care and scheduled appointments, including online registration, and is accredited by the Urgent Care Association.
Following the acquisition, vybe operates urgent care centers in Bensalem, Blue Bell, Brookhaven, Center City, Center City East, Hatfield, Havertown, Horsham, Northeast Philadelphia, PCOM/City Avenue, Port Richmond, Radnor, Ridley, Roxborough, South Philadelphia, Spring Garden, University City and West Philadelphia.
