Vertex Expands Oracle Cloud Reach With Validated Tax Engine

Vertex

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Vertex Inc. (Nasdaq: VERX) has secured Oracle Cloud Infrastructure validation for its enterprise tax calculation software and made the product available through Oracle Marketplace, expanding its distribution to businesses managing complex tax obligations across global operations.

The King of Prussia-based tax technology company said its Vertex O Series Tax Engine for Oracle received the Oracle Validated: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Expertise designation following a technical review of its compatibility with Oracle’s cloud environment.

The designation allows Vertex to market its software to Oracle Cloud customers through the Oracle Marketplace, where businesses can evaluate and deploy applications that integrate with Oracle’s enterprise systems.

Vertex O Series provides centralized tax determination and calculation for companies using Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning and Supply Chain Management applications.

The software supports sales and use taxes, value-added taxes and country-specific tax requirements, allowing multinational businesses to manage tax calculations across different jurisdictions within a common system.

Vertex reported that customers processed an average of more than 150 million transactions per month during the first seven months following implementation on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, exceeding one billion transactions over that period.

The transaction volume demonstrates the scale at which the software is being used, although the company did not provide comparative performance figures against competing tax calculation systems.

The product also works with Vertex Indirect Tax Accelerator for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, a companion application intended to simplify implementation and reduce the manual configuration required to deploy tax calculation capabilities.

For businesses operating across multiple tax jurisdictions, centralized calculation systems can reduce reliance on separate processes and help maintain consistent tax treatment across financial and supply chain transactions.

“Tax teams running on Oracle Cloud need determination that is accurate, consistent and fast at enterprise volume,” said Stephanie Powell, Oracle partner manager at Vertex.

Oracle’s validation program assesses partner applications for technical compatibility with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and compliance with specified deployment standards.

David Hicks, group vice president of Oracle North America’s independent software vendor ecosystem, said the designation indicates that Vertex completed a technical review intended to reduce deployment risk for customers.

“Receiving an Oracle Validated designation signifies that the solution has completed a rigorous technical review process,” Hicks said.

The validation also means the application operates within an environment covered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s service-level agreement, subject to the applicable terms.

For Vertex, the certification and marketplace availability strengthen its position within Oracle’s enterprise software ecosystem, where companies increasingly seek integrated tax compliance capabilities alongside financial management and supply chain applications.
