LOWER PROVIDENCE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that the ongoing utility construction on two state highways in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, will continue next week. The construction is part of a local safety improvement project aimed at enhancing the safety and efficiency of local roadways.
From Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Park Avenue between Eagleville Road and Sandpiper Road. Simultaneously, another lane closure will take place on Eagleville Road between Blue Teel Circle and Park Avenue. These closures are expected to cause traffic backups and delays.
Motorists who frequently travel these routes are advised to plan for extra time when commuting through the work areas, as the lane closures will inevitably lead to backups and delays. Patience and caution are urged during this time to ensure the safety of both the motorists and the construction workers on site.
It’s important to note that all scheduled activities are weather-dependent. This means that unexpected changes in weather conditions could potentially alter the construction timeline. As such, residents should stay updated on any changes to the schedule.
As PennDOT continues with this significant project, understanding from motorists and residents will be paramount.
