WILMINGTON, DE — Uplynk has named TAG Video Systems a strategic technology partner, adding real-time monitoring capabilities to its StreamOps managed streaming operations platform as media companies seek greater visibility into increasingly complex live and linear streaming environments.
The partnership combines Uplynk’s streaming infrastructure and managed services with TAG’s monitoring and visualization technology, giving customers tools to track stream performance, identify delivery issues and respond more quickly to operational disruptions.
The move expands Uplynk’s partner ecosystem and reflects a broader industry focus on monitoring and reliability as streaming providers manage larger audiences and more mission-critical live events.
“Streaming doesn’t fail in isolation. It fails when you can’t see or act fast enough,” said Andrew Zaner, vice president of managed services at Uplynk. “With TAG, we bring real-time visibility into our StreamOps model, so customers don’t just run streams—they understand them, measure them, and trust them.”
Under the partnership, TAG’s platform provides real-time monitoring of stream health and delivery performance, while Uplynk’s StreamOps team manages operational response and issue resolution.
The companies stated the combined offering is being deployed and evaluated in large-scale live and linear streaming environments where service reliability and operational visibility are critical.
In those deployments, Uplynk handles ingest, orchestration, packaging and monetization functions, while TAG supplies monitoring and visualization tools that identify potential quality and delivery issues.
“Monitoring is only valuable if it drives action,” said Michael Demb, vice president of product strategy at TAG. “With Uplynk, that visibility becomes part of real-time operations, helping customers both see and respond.”
The partnership is part of Uplynk’s strategy of integrating specialized third-party technologies into its managed streaming operations platform rather than requiring customers to manage separate vendor relationships and integrations themselves.
