CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — United Building Solutions has acquired McCarl’s Services Inc., expanding its commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration operations across western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
McCarl’s, based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, has more than 80 years of experience providing HVAC and mechanical services to commercial and industrial customers. The company will operate as a division of United Building Solutions under the continued leadership of President Mike McCarl.
The acquisition marks United Building Solutions’ third add-on transaction since its formation as a national HVAC services platform by AE Industrial Partners in 2025.
The deal expands the company’s geographic footprint from three Mid-Atlantic states to 11 markets across the Northeast, Midwest, Southeast, and South-Central United States.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. PwC served as financial advisor to AE Industrial, while Three Sixty Seven Advisors advised McCarl’s.
