U.S. Standardization Center of Excellence to Host First Workshop on Emerging Technologies

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — The U.S. Standardization Center of Excellence (SCoE) for Critical and Emerging Technologies (CETs) will host its inaugural Standardization Workshop on May 14-15 at the Bethesda North Marriott in Rockville, MD.

The SCoE, an initiative focused on strengthening U.S. engagement in the development and application of international standards, aims to bring together key stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and standards organizations. The workshop will serve as a platform for discussion on standardization challenges and strategies for increasing U.S. participation in global standardization efforts for emerging technologies.

Key objectives of the event include introducing the SCoE’s mission to enhance U.S. leadership in international standards, identifying existing gaps and barriers in standardization, and pinpointing resources critical for bolstering U.S. engagement.

Support for the workshop, a collaborative effort to advance private sector-driven participation in international standards, is provided in part by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Interested individuals must register by April 15, with participants to be notified of their invitation status.
