U.S. 422 Lane Closures Could Derail Commutes All Week

LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — Drivers on U.S. 422 should prepare for daytime lane closures in both directions next week as reconstruction work continues across Montgomery and Chester counties.

Lane closures will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Hanover Street interchanges from early morning through mid-afternoon.

On the eastbound side, restrictions will run later into the day between the Hanover Street and Sanatoga interchanges.

Motorists should expect delays and slower travel speeds through the work zone. Plan extra time or seek alternate routes, especially during peak commuting hours.

The work is part of an $83.6 million project to rebuild approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace aging bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
