Travel Restrictions

TOWAMENCIN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a significant road closure that is set to affect drivers in Montgomery County. Starting Thursday, July 18, Old Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township will be closed for base repairs. The closure will last until Friday, July 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays.

The roadwork will stretch between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike). During this period, motorists will need to follow a detour via Route 63, Bustard Road, and Route 73. Despite the closure, local access will remain available.

PennDOT has advised drivers to plan for additional travel time. Traffic backups and delays are anticipated around the work zone. The department stressed that all scheduled activities depend on favorable weather conditions.
