According to PennDOT, Interchange Road will be closed between Highland Avenue and Gilliam Avenue from Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, weather permitting.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Highland Avenue, Route 413 (Pine Street), and Gilliam Avenue to travel around the work zone.
Local access will be maintained throughout the project, but motorists should expect delays and increased traffic along the detour route. Plan extra time for travel and seek alternate routes when possible, particularly during morning and afternoon travel periods.
The temporary closure is needed to allow crews to complete repairs to a bridge along the corridor.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions warrant.
Drivers traveling through the area should remain alert for detour signage, changing traffic patterns, and construction crews working near the roadway.
