According to PennDOT, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 152 (Baringer Avenue/Hilltown Pike) between Hilltown Pike and Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) beginning Tuesday, July 7, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 30.
Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers while crews apply a high-friction surface treatment designed to improve traction and enhance roadway safety.
No detour has been announced, but motorists should expect delays as traffic is periodically slowed through the active work area. Plan extra time for travel and seek alternate routes when possible, particularly during morning and early afternoon hours.
PennDOT said the work is part of ongoing resurfacing and roadway improvement projects intended to provide safer and smoother driving conditions throughout the region.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions warrant.
Drivers traveling through the corridor should remain alert for flagging operations, changing traffic patterns, and construction crews working near the roadway.
