Terravet Expands Veterinary Real Estate Portfolio with Georgia Acquisition

BALA CYNWYD, PATerravet Real Estate Solutions has acquired the 12,726-square-foot Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency facility in Marietta, Georgia, for $3.33 million, in conjunction with Innovetive’s purchase of the hospital’s operations.

Dogwood is the only 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital in the Marietta area, serving as a key referral center for after-hours pet emergencies. The practice employs 17 full-time veterinarians and more than 70 staff, providing specialty and emergency care to pet owners across northern metro Atlanta.

Terravet CEO Daniel Eisenstadt said the deal underscores the company’s commitment to supporting facilities that deliver essential, specialized care. The transaction was structured as a sign-and-close deal, ensuring a smooth operational transition for staff and clients.

For Innovetive, the acquisition marks its first specialty emergency hospital in Georgia and strengthens its partnership with Terravet, which spans multiple locations in the Southeast. Innovetive CEO Mark Ziller highlighted Terravet’s expertise in both real estate and veterinary operations as a key factor in executing the deal.

Terravet, which owns more than 1.5 million square feet of real estate across over 165 properties, has been expanding its footprint in the Atlanta metro area with several recent acquisitions.
