Stormwater Improvements to Cause Traffic Delays in Bucks and Montgomery Counties

Lane restrictions

SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will commence stormwater improvements on state highways in Bucks and Montgomery counties. This $14.9 million project seeks to enhance stormwater management facilities across more than 90 state highways in the five-county Philadelphia region.

From Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, lane closures will impact Route 213 (Maple Avenue/Old Lincoln Highway) between Wheeler Way and Woodbourne Road in Middletown Township, Bucks County. Paving operations will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

During the same dates and hours, Route 252 (Valley Creek Road) between Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and Yellow Springs Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, will also face lane closures for stormwater replacement work.

Motorists should anticipate significant traffic backups and delays and are advised to allow extra travel time. The schedule is subject to weather conditions.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor for this state-funded project.

Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes and stay informed about traffic updates to minimize disruptions.
