LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Stormers and Northwest Bank have partnered to provide children ages 3 and older with personalized hospital gowns styled as team jerseys, aiming to make medical procedures and extended hospital stays less intimidating.
The custom PlayGowns will be distributed during hospital visits involving Cylo, according to the organizations. Community members may also request a gown for a child receiving treatment or recovering in a hospital.
PlayGowns produces personalized hospital clothing intended to give children greater comfort and a sense of control while receiving care.
The Stormers-themed gowns use the appearance of the baseball team’s jerseys, replacing standard hospital attire with a design that connects young patients to the team.
“This is an initiative that has been in the works for quite some time, and we are thrilled to see it finally come to life,” Lancaster Stormers Vice President and Assistant General Manager Alex Bunn stated.
Northwest Bank is supporting the program as part of its community work in Lancaster and the surrounding region.
