SolomonEdwards Acquires CFO’s Domain to Expand CFO Advisory Services

Business News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — SolomonEdwards announced it has acquired CFO’s Domain, a Los Angeles-based consulting and recruiting firm that provides advisory services to finance executives, expanding the firm’s finance and accounting consulting capabilities and West Coast presence.

The professional services firm said the acquisition strengthens its Office of the CFO advisory offerings and broadens its ability to serve finance leaders across multiple industries.

CFO’s Domain provides consulting, interim staffing, and professional search services focused on accounting and financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, financial systems, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and project management.

The firm serves companies in sectors including technology, media and entertainment, life sciences, consumer products, financial services, and healthcare.

CFO’s Domain will initially continue operating under its current structure as a SolomonEdwards company before transitioning into SolomonEdwards’ Office of the CFO consulting platform.

Co-founders Rahul Merani and Patrick Coggins have joined the SolomonEdwards leadership team as part of the transaction.

John Gulnac, chief executive officer of SolomonEdwards, said the acquisition is intended to expand the firm’s consulting capabilities for finance executives.

“CFO’s Domain is a highly complementary addition that accelerates our strategy to build a scaled, differentiated Office of the CFO consulting platform,” Gulnac said.

SolomonEdwards said the acquisition expands its existing services, which include accounting and finance consulting, governance and risk advisory, tax support, and mergers and acquisitions advisory.

The firm added that CFO’s Domain clients will gain access to SolomonEdwards’ broader services in data and risk solutions, while SolomonEdwards clients will gain additional consulting and recruiting capabilities within finance organizations.

Merani said the firms share a similar approach to supporting finance teams.

“SolomonEdwards shares our commitment to delivering practical, high-impact solutions to CFOs and finance teams,” Merani said.

The acquisition follows several recent transactions by SolomonEdwards, including the additions of Dominion Advisory Group, Steele Consulting, and Pencek Advisors after Renovus Capital Partners made a majority investment in the firm in 2022.

SolomonEdwards said the acquisitions are part of a strategy to expand its consulting platform and client base across industries.
