NEWARK, DE — Police are investigating multiple reports of gunfire that damaged three homes in a Newark neighborhood on the afternoon of April 14, 2025.
Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the unit block of Sunny Bend at approximately 4:41 p.m. after receiving several 911 calls. Upon arrival, authorities found that two residences on Sunny Bend and Kayak Court had been struck by bullets, though no injuries were reported.
Witnesses stated that a large group of individuals was present shortly before the gunfire began, but they dispersed before officers arrived. A coordinated search involving the Delaware State Police did not locate any suspects or victims. Later, a third home on Sailboat Circle was also confirmed to have been struck by gunfire, with no injuries reported.

Authorities emphasize that no arrests have been made, and all suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. The investigation remains ongoing.
