LANGHORNE, PA — Savara Inc. (Nasdaq: SVRA) said it has issued inducement equity awards to two newly hired employees, a move aimed at bolstering its workforce as the company pushes forward with late-stage development of a treatment for rare respiratory disease.
The awards were approved January 15, 2026, by the compensation committee of Savara’s board of directors and include stock options covering an aggregate 17,500 shares of common stock and restricted stock units covering an additional 12,500 shares. The grants were made under Savara’s 2021 Inducement Equity Incentive Plan in accordance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4), which allows equity awards as a material inducement to employment.
The stock options carry an exercise price of $5.88 per share, equal to the company’s closing price on the Nasdaq Global Market on the grant date. Each option has a 10-year term and vests quarterly at a rate of one-sixteenth per quarter beginning on the employee’s first day of employment, subject to continued service. The restricted stock units vest in full on the second anniversary of the employee’s start date, also contingent on continued employment.
Savara is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapies for rare respiratory diseases. Its lead program, MOLBREEVI, is a recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor currently in Phase 3 development for autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, a rare lung disorder.
The drug candidate is administered using a proprietary investigational eFlow nebulizer system designed specifically for inhalation delivery. Savara said its management team brings extensive experience in pulmonary medicine and rare disease development, with a focus on advancing therapies through approval and toward commercialization.
The equity awards come as Savara continues to invest in talent to support its clinical and operational efforts amid heightened interest in treatments for underserved respiratory conditions.
