- Roads Affected: Route 30 near Soudersburg Road
- Dates: Beginning Monday, March 23 (continuing through project duration)
- Times: Ongoing traffic shift with periodic daytime flagging
- Reason: Box culvert replacement and roadway improvements
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, work will begin Monday with a long-term traffic shift using concrete barriers scheduled to take effect Tuesday, March 24.
Two 10-foot travel lanes—one in each direction—will remain open throughout construction. However, drivers should expect periodic lane restrictions with flagging as crews perform work within the project limits.
The project includes replacing the existing box culvert, installing new guiderail, updating pavement markings, and resurfacing the roadway.
Motorists traveling through the area should plan extra time and expect delays, especially during active work periods. Drivers are urged to slow down and remain alert while traveling through the work zone.
The work is part of a broader two-bridge contract that also included a culvert replacement near Brackbill Road in Salisbury Township, which was completed in 2024. The overall project is expected to continue through November 30, 2026.
