LANCASTER, PA — Drivers on Route 30 in East Hempfield and West Hempfield townships should prepare for daytime lane restrictions later this month as PennDOT inspects four bridges crossing the highway.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, the westbound Route 30 right lane and shoulder will close between mile markers 262.1 and 258.8.
On Thursday, Oct. 15, the westbound left lane and shoulder will close along the same stretch.
The work then shifts to eastbound Route 30. On Monday, Oct. 19, the right lane and shoulder will close between mile markers 258.8 and 262.1.
On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the eastbound left lane and shoulder will close through that same section.
The inspections involve the bridges carrying Running Pump Road (Route 4059), Centerville Road (Route 4057), Stony Battery Road (Route 3017) and Druid Hill Road (Route 4053) over Route 30.
Drivers should plan extra time and expect delays during the six-hour daytime work periods, particularly as traffic merges around the inspection zones.
