The following day, Wednesday, Oct. 14, operations will shift to westbound Route 30 between mile markers 254.4 and 254.2.

Lane restrictions are expected during both five-hour work periods, although PennDOT did not specify which lanes will be closed.

Drivers should plan extra time and anticipate possible backups as traffic moves through the inspection area. Motorists should also watch for work-zone signs and be prepared for changing lane configurations.

The inspections are weather dependent and could be rescheduled if conditions prevent crews from safely completing the work.
