Route 113 and Creek Road Closures: Major Traffic Disruptions Ahead

Travel Restrictions

SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming maintenance activities affecting key routes in Montgomery and Delaware counties. Route 113 (Trappe Road/Third Avenue) in Montgomery County will experience closures on September 3, 4, 12, and 13 between Black Rock Road and Main Street in Upper Providence Township and Trappe Borough. During these closures, pipe replacement work will be conducted. Motorists will need to follow detour routes via Black Rock Road, Route 29, and Main Street.

In Delaware County, Tanguy Road/Creek Road will be closed from September 3 to September 9. This weekday closure, running from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, will allow for base repair work between Dilworthtown Road and Route 926 in Thornbury Township. Drivers will be redirected through a detour utilizing Dilworthtown Road, Glen Mills Road, and other local roadways.

PennDOT is advising drivers to plan for additional travel time due to expected backups and delays. Local access will be maintained throughout the maintenance period. All activities are dependent on favorable weather conditions.
