MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a schedule for base repairs on Park Avenue/Schwenksville Road in Montgomery County, affecting Schwenksville Borough and the townships of Perkiomen and Upper Salford.
Beginning Wednesday, October 9, and continuing through Wednesday, October 16, the road will be closed on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Route 29 (Main Street) and Lederach Road. During this period, a detour will direct motorists to use Route 29 (Gravel Pike), Route 73 (Skippack Pike), Haldeman Road, and Lederach Road.
Subsequently, from October 16 to October 23, Schwenksville Road will be closed between Lederach Road and Old Skippack Road, with an alternative route guiding drivers via Old Skippack Road, Haldeman Road, and Lederach Road. Local access will be preserved throughout the repair works.
PennDOT advises drivers to plan for potential delays and allow additional travel time in the vicinity of the construction zones. All operations are contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
