MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing operations will cause lane closures in Montgomery County next week, leading to potential traffic slowdowns.

From Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, lane closures will be in effect on Pennsylvania Avenue between the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass and Chelsea Avenue in Whitemarsh and Springfield townships. The closures will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for milling and paving work.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas, as slowdowns are expected during the scheduled hours. All activities are weather dependent.

PennDOT’s contractors will be repairing, milling, and repaving the state highways with new asphalt pavement. This work aims to seal roadways and provide a safer and smoother driving surface for motorists.
